Cancellation and Refund Policy

Studio Cancellation Policy:

Our programs require sufficient registration to run and if within four days of a program’s start date minimum registration has not yet been met cancellation of the program will occur.  We will notify registrants by email three days in advance of a program’s start date if it has been cancelled due to low registration.

Generally, we require a minimum of 4 students to run a program.

If an instructor has to cancel a single class (due to illness, etc) registrants will be notified by email and telephone as early as possible and if possible a make-up class will be scheduled.  If a make-up class cannot be fit into the schedule at a workable time for participants, a refund for that class will be processed and a receipt provided.

Withdrawals from programs:

For a full refund on registration fees the studio requires at least two week’s notice before the program start date.  This enables us time to fill that spot.   Note that your refund will be processed in the same method that it was received.

If withdrawing within two weeks of a program starting, a credit for the full amount less a $10 administrative fee will be issued.  This credit will be available for future use.

Once a program has started no refunds are available.

Wait list:

If the program you are interested in is full you can be placed on a wait list.  If spaces open up persons on the wait list will be contacted and in order of when they registered on the wait list.  Email the studio at registration@playfulpencil.ca to be placed on a wait list.
